The days of sitting in front of your phone and yapping about whatever you want to the camera and becoming an influencer off of it are far gone.
Fortunately, or unfortunately, that’s because there is a lot of money that can be made off of social media so there are a lot of people who are trying to be influencers. uUnless you’re one in a million, you’re going to have to put in the work and create some structure to your content.
Even Alix Earle has a very detailed content strategy, even if it might seem to the average consumer that she’s just a girl who likes to make fun videos. You can break down her content into multiple different content pillars and formats. If you want me to make a post about going into depth about content pillars, I’m happy to do that. She is known for her getting ready with me series and her travel blogs with her family and friends. What we can learn from Alix is that it’s important to have a quality about you that is different and memorable. She’s not just posting random things that pop into her head. She clearly has a plan and knows what content works best for her and repeats it. People look forward to her content because her pillars keep her consistent in her branding and in the themes of her content. People know what to expect when they get an Alix video on their feed and ultimately people like comfort.
